About the game
Veil of Ashes – a real-time strategy game from Greifenmaer, published by Slitherine. Set in an alternate history where Europe lives in the aftermath of a fiery catastrophe, and steam tanks and gigantic war machines dominate the battlefield. A Steam release date has not yet been announced. Ashes after 1704 In 1704, the world suffered a fiery catastrophe. It left behind a substance called cynium, which contains a vast amount of energy. Two hundred years later, new powers have arisen from the ruins, all warring over resources, which are increasingly scarce in the ash-covered world. Cynium powers steam tanks and massive war machines. Two factions are available at the start. Sacrum Imperium, a theocracy under the rule of the Novissima Ecclesia, is considered the strongest power in Europe and relies on firepower and super-heavy Cataphractus tanks. Lohenreich, a remnant of Central Europe, is made up of feudal knights riding Lanzierer heavy tanks, supported by Panzerknecht infantry. A field that changes Battles are fought over strategic points, and the map deteriorates as the battle progresses. Explosion craters alter the terrain, destroyed giants block passages, and sometimes they can be captured directly. Tactical points are accumulated during combat, used to call in heavy equipment, strike enemy positions, and request support. The army includes infantry, tanks, and giant machines. Campaign and online battles The single-player campaign is semi-procedural. On the strategic map, you choose your own route to objectives, develop your army, and manage resources, while the timer and story events dictate how you play. The consequences of battles are preserved, so each playthrough is unique. Online, you can battle up to four against humans or the AI, in Breakthrough and Conquest modes. A third faction, The Communes, has already been announced. Download torrent Veil of Ashes On PC you can find it on this page.
