Transformers The Game – a third-person action game based on the 2007 Michael Bay film, developed by Traveller's Tales and published by Activision. Released in the summer of 2007, it coincided with the film and tells the story from both the Autobot and Decepticon perspectives. Two campaigns At the start, you have to choose a side. The Autobot campaign follows the events of the film, while the Decepticon campaign tells the same story through the eyes of Megatron and his team, with the two narratives intersecting at several points. The action moves between locations: the military base in Qatar, where Blackout begins, the Hoover Dam, the power plant, and Mission City, which is reduced to ruins by the final battle. Each zone is open for free roaming, and the streets and buildings can be destroyed. Robot and machine At any moment, the robot can transform into a vehicle and back: most into cars, Starscream into a fighter jet, and Blackout into a helicopter. This form is convenient for traveling to distant points, and in some missions, you need to reach the target before the enemy or before the timer runs out. In robot form, you have light and heavy weapons, melee combat, and can also grab anything you come across: cars, trees, lampposts. A lamppost, by the way, doubles as a sword. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Jazz, and Ironhide play for the Autobots, while Megatron, Starscream, Blackout, Barricade, and Scorponok play for the Decepticons. How is it different from sequels? Revenge of the Fallen was released in 2009, based on the second film, and was developed by a different studio, while 2014's Rise of the Dark Spark connects the cinematic universe with War for Cybertron. The first installment is closest to the film itself and its characters. Energon cubes and faction emblems are hidden throughout the cities, unlocking trailers, behind-the-scenes photos, and coloring pages, including the classic G1 versions of Optimus and Megatron.
