Trader Life Simulator – a small-time trader simulator by Mohammed Qasrawi, released on PC in 2021. This is the first installment in the series: the protagonist loses his job at a large distribution company, fails to find a new one, and opens his own business in a poor little shop. Empty shelves at the start At first, the store is almost empty. You have to buy everything yourself from other shops around town: food, drinks, oil, and more than fifty other items. To transport everything, you need a car, and a car needs gas, oil, and sometimes repairs, for which there's a mechanic in town. Once things get going, you can hire employees, arrange furniture, and furnish the sales floor, and restock the shelves through a separate system. Bills and personal life The store is only part of the game. The hero has a house that can be furnished with furniture and a computer, a TV, a phone, and a laptop. They need to eat and get dirty over time, so you need to take care of yourself too. Bills come in regularly, and the money goes through the bank: there's an ATM, credit cards, and loans. Credit helps you expand faster, but if business doesn't take off, debt quickly becomes a problem. If the store doesn't work out, you can get a job at one of the city's companies, which sometimes pay more than your regular business. Part one and continuation The city operates on a cycle of day and night, and the weather changes. The game is small in scope, and it later had a sequel, TRADER LIFE SIMULATOR 2, so it's a logical place to start exploring the series. The only similarity between it and Car Trader Simulator is the word in the title: there they sell cars, while here they sell groceries and household goods.
