The third-person tactical shooter The Bureau: XCOM Declassified tells an alternate history of the Cold War. Set in 1962, the main enemy of all humanity is an alien race attempting to conquer Earth. To successfully repel the invasion, the CIA has created a special bureau called XCOM, staffed by specially trained agents. The gamer takes on the role of one of these agents. In addition to the primary objective of confronting the aliens, XCOM agents face another, equally important one: concealing the existence of the alien race from the general population to avoid sowing panic and discord.
