Sword of Legends Sword Coast Legends is an action RPG based on Chinese mythology from Shanghai-based studio Aurogon, creators of the Gujian series. On Steam, the game is listed as Swords of Legends and is being promoted as an official sequel to Gujian; a precise release date has not yet been announced. Judge of the Afterlife The story takes place in an ancient era, when humans, gods, and restless souls coexist. The setting is taken from the "Catalogue of Mountains and Seas," an ancient Chinese collection of legends about monsters and distant lands. The hero serves as the Arbiter of the Underworld: he sees the souls of the dead and decides what to do with them. The story moves between the world of the living and the realm of the dead, and through conversations and decisions, one often has to choose how to act and what kind of life the hero wants to live. Combat and Spirit Allies Battles are built around mystical techniques and the summoning of spirits. There are several types of weapons, each with its own playstyle, from swords from the world of the living to artifacts of the dead. Enemies have weaknesses, and finding them and combining abilities correctly makes the battle significantly easier. Some defeated enemies can be persuaded to rest in peace rather than be finished off. Afterward, they join the hero as companions, with their own abilities, voices, and pasts, which are revealed throughout the journey.
