Ten seconds to look around Before the auction, the container is opened for just ten seconds. During this time, you need to assess whether it contains anything valuable or just junk. The bidders are computer-controlled, and each has their own bidding style, which you begin to recognize over time. The goal is to secure the best lots as cheaply as possible and not overpay for empty containers. As your reputation and capital grow, auctions open in other ports and specialized auction houses, where containers are more expensive and the risk is higher. Transportation and workshop The cargo you win needs to be transported. Initially, you'll have a small vehicle, but then, with the profits, you can upgrade to a larger vehicle. It's advantageous to load each trip tightly to avoid back-and-forth travel. At the store, the items are tidied up: dirt and grime are washed off in a separate minigame, and any damage is repaired on the workbench, after which the price increases significantly. Questionable items can be shown to an appraiser. They'll give you a price and also help you distinguish fakes from the real thing. Your own store You design the layout of your retail space yourself: arrange the shelves, decide how to display your finds, and paint the walls. The store's appearance determines how many people will come through. You can later buy larger spaces in other areas of the city, but each one will need to be cleaned and furnished before opening.
