About the game

Oneirophobia is a psychological horror story about the fear of dreams, where reality slowly distorts and becomes a reflection of the subconscious. Nineteen-year-old Mike Sanders lives on an inherited ranch in the wilderness of Rootwood Forest, struggling with PTSD and recurring nightmares. His only companion is his guard dog, Marty, but even his presence doesn't save him from the terror of his nightly visions. Dreams that devour reality The world is divided into two states: dream and reality, but the division is so subtle that the player determines where the line lies. Dreams transform into mythical spaces — abandoned cities, gloomy forests, empty buildings filled with symbols of the hero's tragedy. Each dream visit brings insight into their traumas, reveals the past, and intensifies the sense of loneliness on the ranch, where everything reminds them of their lost parents. Mike's experiences become a personal test for the player: familiar places change; faces disappear; sound, light, and space behave erratically. In reality, everyday tasks and the search for support remain, but nighttime lapses return the player to a nightmare. The player's actions — running, stealth, attention to detail — determine whether the hero can withstand the pressure of their own consciousness and uncover the truth. Features of the game Psychological scenes that change the perception of space. Dialogues that reveal Mike's internal struggle. An exploration of objects that influence understanding of the plot. Puzzles in changing dream locations.
