Legacy of Valor – a medieval role-playing game with city-building from the independent Black Banner Studios. You begin in the ruins of a family castle and, step by step, transform the ruined estate into a fortified city, all the while leading your people through wars, trade, and difficult decisions. From ruins to fortress The first task is to rebuild the castle and establish a village around it. It then expands: workshops, farms, a forge, and barracks appear, and every building is essential to keep the settlement from collapsing. Resources must be carefully allocated: there won't be enough for everything at once. Beyond construction, there's also the normal medieval life. Raw materials are crafted into weapons, armor, and provisions, the surplus is sold to neighboring villages for coins or their favor, and feasts boost morale. Craftsmen are hired, and the interests of the peasants and the nobility must be balanced somehow. Caravans and troops Trade caravans travel the roads, but homes must be defended. Enemies abound: bandit gangs, rival lords, and even the crown's forces. Knights and infantry can be trained and equipped with weapons of your own making, and you choose your battle tactics. Battles include defending walls during sieges and cavalry charges. Key decisions change the fate of the entire nation, and they determine what kind of ruler you will be remembered as. Sandbox after the finale Once the main storyline concludes, a free-roaming mode opens up with no restrictions. Here, you can expand your lands, take on quests, hunt bandits, and fight for provinces. Online co-op is also available. The game is aimed at adults: there's a lot of bloodshed in battles, and the dialogue is quite strong.
