Edge Of Survival – a calm sandbox survival game about forest survival from Studio Builderline. Early access opened on November 9, 2023, and the full version was released on January 13, 2024. The goal here isn't to fend off hordes, but to gradually build a warm, comfortable home from a few sticks and stones. From a stick to a rifle It all starts with what's beneath your feet. The first simple tools are crafted from sticks and stones, which are used to obtain better materials, and the chain continues. There are hundreds of survival items, and at the end of this journey, you can reach a rifle and improved armor. In addition to tools, workshops are built: from a primitive pelt dryer to pre-industrial mechanisms. Thus, the base gradually transforms from a temporary encampment into a real farm. Food from the forest and from the garden Hunger can be resolved in several ways: hunting, fishing, and gardening. Plants are finicky, but edible. They can be eaten raw, or cooked, which makes them more filling. There are also quests for maintaining the forest: to keep it alive, you need to care for it. Caves and dangerous animals The world is vibrant and stylized, with dense forests and dark caves. Despite its relaxed atmosphere, it's not without its dangers: dangerous animals roam some areas. You can avoid them, or you can prepare your gear first and then go investigate. The better your armor and weapons, the further you can travel from home without fear of every bush, which means you'll have more materials for new buildings. The game is single-player, with no multiplayer. Windows 10, 4 GB of RAM, and 7 GB of storage space are required to run the game.
