Gameplay The protagonist is a cyborg named Alexi-Ru. His primary task is to pilot a cargo ship. To spice up his travels, Alexi-Ru studies the history of his home planet, Sumbura, known as Earth's Shadow. Little information remains about the colonists' home planet, only that the galaxy is now dead. The protagonist, fascinated by history, often made significant detours, several million light clicks, just to pass mysterious planets. Each time, he did so in the hope of spotting something on the empty planets using radar. And one fine day, Alexi-Roux's dream comes true. While flying past a small but very strange planet, the ship malfunctions and is forced to make an emergency landing. The last thing the hero remembers before the crash is a book titled "When Dreams Turn into Nightmares" falling out of an open nightstand.
