Dragon Is Dead – a 2D dark fantasy roguelike with an emphasis on hack-and-slash and build-building. The game was developed by a small team called TeamSuneat and published by PM Studios: early access began in June 2024, and the full version was released on June 6, 2025. Its key feature is that death doesn't remove equipment. Heir of the Three Gods The dragon Gernian has fallen, but his Corruption continues to distort the world. You play as the immortal Heir, empowered by the gods Lu, Ashuran, and Harnia. Your journey begins in Cliffshire and leads through the corrupted lands to the Citadel at the very center of the rift. Along the way, you encounter powerful bosses, discover fragments of the past, and gradually it becomes clear that the familiar history of the world is not entirely true, and the Order of the Black Dawn is using the Corruption for their own ends. Three classes and many runes The starting class, the Spellblade, combines close and mid-range combat with the elements of fire, ice, and lightning. The Berserker sacrifices health for massive damage and armor. The Hunter maintains distance, throws weapons, and uses poison and feral abilities. Each hero has their own skill tree and weapon, and new Heirs are unlocked as the game progresses. Elite enemies and bosses drop runestones, which can be used to forge legendary and mythical items, and artifacts found during runs can be combined into more powerful bundles. What remains after death Combat is built on dodging, reading enemy attacks, and long combos. Levels are multi-tiered, and enemy placement, traps, and loot change with each run. Dying causes you to lose gold and temporary bonuses, but gear, runes, and discoveries remain and become the foundation for your next attempt. So even a failed run moves you forward.
