Black Plague: Survival is a cooperative survival game set in medieval Europe, where the plague has turned cities into cemeteries and the dead into endlessly hungry hordes. The game combines fortress building, clan development, and constant forays for resources into a world that has long since ceased to belong to humans. Instead of the usual fantasy about noble knights, it depicts a filthy, crumbling Europe, where the remnants of civilization are held together only by fortified walls, weapons, and people willing to kill to survive. One night can destroy an entire settlement. A simple shelter gradually evolves into a full-fledged fortress with bastions, traps, and defensive lines, but as the settlement grows, so does the danger around it. At night, the infected become more aggressive, begin to overwhelm with numbers, and test the strength of the defenses. Sometimes, a single poorly fortified wall can spell disaster for the entire clan. The combination of medieval weaponry and early firearms is particularly striking. In one skirmish, you can be fending off enemies with a sword in a narrow passage, and the next, blowing up a crowd of infected with gunpowder charges.
