The project looks promising, but the challenge is to improve on the first game's survival horror formula without losing the atmosphere that made it special. Captivates you from the first minute A Plague Tale: Requiem is especially captivating thanks to its superb graphics. Every detail of the game is meticulously crafted, complemented by a stunning soundtrack and audio accompaniment. The protagonist, Amicia de Rune, speaks with an unknown man about her brother, Hugo, and how to end the story that haunted our heroes in the first game. Fans will recall that Hugo is cursed with dark magic directly linked to the plague. Will Amicia have to stop her own brother, whom she says she will "protect with her life?" Differences from the first game While the gameplay of A Plague Tale: Innocence was serviceable at best, the game's dark world, combined with the touching relationships between the de Rune siblings and the allies they befriend, makes for a memorable experience. If the sequel's puzzle design and moment-to-moment action prove as engaging as the writing and atmosphere, we could be in for something truly special. Asobo Studio remains the project's developer, so let's take a look at what the team has learned. A Plague Tale: Requiem will release sometime in 2022 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also launch on day one on Xbox Game Pass. There's no word yet on whether it will be released on other platforms, but we'll update this story if anything changes.
