But a desperate mother, having lost her son, sets out into this dark, eerie, monstrous forest to find her beloved child. The plot is based on the Scandinavian legend of Old Eric, who lives deep in the forest and kidnaps naughty children. Adults consider this story a fairy tale, which perfectly serves as a teacher. However, once you've personally visited this forest, no one will ever be able to convince you that Eric doesn't exist. The developers shared that they drew on the personal childhood emotions evoked by the dark forest. They stated that the storyline will be profound and will touch everyone's soul. To create maximum immersion, Antagonist studio meticulously crafted the sound design — by listening carefully, gamers will be able to determine from which direction danger is approaching and react promptly. Incidentally, the only defense is a flashlight, which wards off the terrifying creatures. Another interesting development is dynamic storytelling. This means that the plot will evolve based on the player's actions, which further enhances the gameplay experience.
