Ys X: Proud Nordics — This expanded version of the Obelia Bay adventure combines the series' dynamic action with new story content and additional challenges. Adol Kristin and the proud Norseman Karja find themselves bound by the shackles of Mana after a fateful encounter at sea. The region is threatened by the immortal Grigr horde, and the heroes' journey takes them through naval battles, island exploration, and the gathering of allies aboard the ship Sandra. Bound by Mana The combat system is built around the coordination of Adol and Karya, allowing for switching between solo actions and cooperative attacks. The Mana Link unlocks special moves and enhances synergy in combat. Naval travel, island landings, and clearing enemy zones structure the journey across the bay. The Proud Nordics version adds a new storyline set on the island of Öland, featuring separate events involving Canute and Astrid. Additional mechanics, including Mana Reservation, expand environmental interactions, and the Muspelheim dungeon offers a more challenging experience for experienced players.
