Weird RPG 2 – a third-person action RPG with a parry-based combat system, released in January 2026. It was developed by a single developer, yuzhen, and took about four years to complete. The combat is clearly based on Sekiro, but the difficulty is noticeably softer, and there are no death penalties at all. Sekiro without nerves Parrying is the foundation of every battle. Enemy attacks need to be parried at the right moment, but the timing is forgiving, making the mechanics easier to master than in the Souls series. The author clearly defines who he's aiming for: those who've long wanted to try Sekiro but are daunted by the difficulty, and those who've already completed it and are now eager to delve into their gear. Dying isn't scary, and nothing is lost, so you can safely try different approaches to the boss. Hunting and equipment Beyond boss fights, there's plenty of hunting for monsters of all shapes and sizes, resource gathering, and map exploration. There's a wealth of special equipment and items, and their selection greatly determines how you fight. The world is grim, in the spirit of dark fantasy, with blood and gore. Players have warmly received the game: it has over 90% positive reviews out of over eight hundred on Steam. Transformation and voice magic The game has a couple of unusual ideas. The first is about transformation: you can engage in a fair sword fight with your opponent, or you can transform into an unstoppable force and simply shoot them with a gun.
