About the game

The game, developed by Acquire for over four years, Way of the Samurai 4, an action-adventure game, was a PS3 exclusive, but on July 23, 2015, everything changed with the release of the Windows version. This means that many can now travel back a century and a half to the Japanese port city of Amihara (which, it's worth noting, doesn't actually exist). The nameless hero, a ronin — a masterless samurai — arrives here at a very difficult time. He witnesses British ships unloading, the attractive and pleasant young woman Laura Rita, an official representative of a distant country, setting foot on foreign soil, and other people, not all of them honest. They brought a lot of things to Japan, including drugs and gambling. Yes, conflict is inevitable. A ronin isn't obligated to fight foreigners. He owes nothing to anyone, so he can side with any powerful side. There are only three: besides the British, government representatives and a coalition of people opposed to the government wield influence. So, he needs to think... There's little time for this: the story spans only five days. The outcome will be determined by a warrior tournament. There's another possible scenario: simply leave the city. Anyone familiar with the series knows that this also counts as a completion. It's actually interesting to delve into this story more than once, changing your mind each time. The journey from start to finish takes about five hours, or half that if you're more experienced, so you can explore it in just a week. Way of the Samurai 4 from start to finish. After each completion, in addition to the credits, a summary will appear on the screen, awarding the player a certain number of points and, if successful, bonuses. For example, you can earn unique outfits or the ability to play as a woman. However, the gender change won't change the gameplay — people will perceive the heroine as a man. This game is very much like a film. Players will be captivated by the events and the characters' behavior. The people here are so diverse. For example, the aforementioned British representative, or more precisely, the Goodwill Ambassador, is sweet and noble; Melinda, the captain of the British ship, is striking: she wears golden armor and a claymore sword, possessing a firm hand and overall character; Akagi Retsudo leads the isolationists, meaning he opposes the British and upholds tradition; he's truly reckless. Overall, there's plenty to meet and plenty to do.
