Veritas Tales: Witch of the Dark Castle — is a story-driven role-playing game in the format of an interactive book, where every decision influences the further development of the adventure. The player unfolds the pages of history, chooses their own path, participates in battles, negotiates, and avoids dangers. The world constantly reacts to the choices made, and dice rolls become part of every important event. Conflicts can be resolved through force, persuasion, or even avoided entirely, depending on your chosen playstyle. Thanks to the branching narrative, repeated playthroughs reveal new events, routes, and story developments. The visual design is entirely hand-drawn and features over three hundred original illustrations. The adventure is over twenty hours long, and the musical score is composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto. The game is inspired by classic gamebooks and tabletop RPGs, while maintaining the atmosphere of a traditional fantasy adventure.
