Tunnel of Doom – a top-down roguelike that combines monster battles with tower defense elements. Developed by Antti Vaihia and published by Digerati and Doyoyo Games, the game was released on November 23, 2021. Goldcrest Mine The story takes place in 1903 in the mining town of Goldcrest. After a strange incident, the mayor has closed the mine, but Angela's husband remains inside. She descends to search for survivors and discovers hordes of monsters in the darkness. Each new descent begins anew: the mine map, power-ups, and monster encounters are generated anew, and the heroine has only one life. Traps before the battle Before a skirmish, there's time to prepare. Angela places weapons and defensive structures, and their placement determines how many enemies reach her. The enemies in each battle are random, so the same placement won't always work. Materials for traps are obtained directly in the mine: you can smash lamps, break crates, blast rock, and dig ore. When the bullets run out There's not enough ammunition for everything, and the game takes this into account. If you're out of ammunition, you'll resort to rocks and glass shards, a pickaxe, and dynamite. Fifty upgrades are scattered throughout the mine: more complex traps, powerful weapons, extra resources, many of which significantly change the gameplay experience. Escape the mine, and an endless mode opens up for those who find the main campaign insufficient. The graphics are pixelated, and Steam leaderboards are available.
