What do war games usually conjure up? Attacks and defenses, complex operations, the endless roar of weapons... This War of Mine Stories - The Last Broadcast, from the independent Polish studio 11 bit, tells a completely different story. It tells the story of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during its siege. The siege lasted nearly four years, and during that time, much happened in the city... People struggled to survive with meager resources. 11 bit invites gamers to experience the siege from the inside, taking control of a group of survivors. The risk of marauders and snipers is constant, so you must always remain alert and exercise extreme caution. Venturing out during the day is suicidal. Therefore, searching for provisions and medicine requires waiting until nightfall, but even then, extreme caution is required. Daytime should be devoted to other important matters: caring for the wounded, crafting weapons, stoves, beds, and other useful items, and building shelters. Keeping your people alive in this dangerous world will often require making difficult psychological decisions. The unique graphics — all executed in a charcoal drawing style — are designed to evoke the full immersion of those tragic years.
