The Wolf Among Us is based on the American Fables comics, but its events take place long before the story told in the first issue, so even fans of the famous cartoon series will recognize something new. As a reminder, this story is dedicated to folktale characters, only they appear human and live in Manhattan, New York City. The main character is Detective Bigsby, also known as the Big Bad Wolf. Despite his role, his job is to protect the fairytale inhabitants. However, they have little trust in him, as they remember his attempts to eat his little pig brothers and Little Red Riding Hood, so Bigsby must work hard to prove his good intentions. But sometimes, he truly becomes a beast... This episodic game consists of five episodes. Players will find plenty to do: they'll have to figure out the mysterious noise coming from the Woodcutter's hut, or investigate Snow White's murder. The gameplay is built on the trusty point-and-click system. The game features a wealth of dialogue, with the flow of conversations almost always determining the plot's progress. You'll often have to make difficult choices, determining who is right and who is wrong. All actions are recorded, and statistics are displayed at the end of the mission. The graphics are also noteworthy — they match the style of the Fables comics. Thanks to all this, critics have praised each episode of The Wolf Among Us.
