The protagonist has long since abandoned his soldier days and tried to start a quiet life among artisans and fishermen, but an attack forces him to become a commander again. There's no sense of a heroic campaign here — the game constantly depicts the people's fatigue, food shortages, and fear that the enemy is getting ever closer to the island. People are more important than the war itself Some are trying to maintain calm, others are already preparing for the worst, and others don't believe the island can be held at all. Conversations with the characters gradually change their attitudes: the huntress Nuri keeps to herself, the monk Moon Su tries to avoid senseless violence, and the potter Ji Ho thinks more about family than war. This makes the decisions much harder to bear, because behind every order are specific individuals. Preparing for a siege constantly forces you to choose what to sacrifice for the next day. You can send people for supplies, spend time training your soldiers, or try to anticipate the enemy's attack route.
