About the game
The Last Night — a platformer about the future, and how near is that, judge for yourself: the main character lives in a world where people prefer leisure to work — or rather, are forced to, because human effort is little valued by society; everything is done by advanced robots that are stronger, smarter, and even more creative. Many Homo sapiens enjoy this carefree life — play and have fun! Most people like it, especially since incomes across society have leveled out, but not everyone does. The protagonist is among the latter. Because not only is he at the bottom of society (complete equality hasn't arrived), but he's also suffered a trauma that has left him immune to mainstream values, to all these cybernetic gadgets. He feels ill at ease in this space. And now, a chance to influence things appears. The game could be called a cybernetic noir. It's actually very cinematic, or rather, cartoonish, because the graphics aren't detailed, but rather pixelated. But this pseudo-3D image is truly captivating. Yes, it's just great that you can play in HD resolution. And by the way, the game was announced, basically, in honor of the Xbox One X, and it happened at E3. It's exclusive to that console, but many can rest easy — there will be a Windows version. The release is scheduled for 2018. So, for those who want to download it, The Last Night You'll have to be patient. The game was conceived and conceptualized during a six-day jam session. It was created by the Sora brothers. They described their project as "Blade Runner" meets delicious pixel art. The creators also drew inspiration from games like Another World, Flashback, and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. While working on it, The Last NightThe brothers found like-minded partners and founded Odd Tale Studios. Raw Fury Games decided to publish their debut, and Microsoft itself handled the announcement. This gives confidence that the project won't be delayed.
