About the game
The Empty Halls is an exploratory horror game built on a sense of emptiness and unsettling silence. The player finds themselves in spaces devoid of people and logic, where familiar places feel out of place. Corridors, halls, and passages evoke a sense of suspended time, and the environment itself becomes the main source of tension. There's no explanation. Observation instead of rescue The game emphasizes attentiveness and capturing what's happening. The VHS camera isn't a visual effect, but a tool that distorts spatial perception. Missions require you to study your surroundings, notice subtle changes, and move forward, even when your instincts tell you to stop and turn around. The camera is always on. Recording cannot be canceled. Always. Each level is inspired by the concept of liminal spaces and Backrooms. The locations don't directly frighten, but rather oppress with repetition, emptiness, and a lack of explanation. The deeper you go, the more the line between exploration and disorientation blurs. The exit is not guaranteed. The space remembers your steps. Features of the game Liminal spaces without direct threats. VHS camera as the main tool. Observation tasks. A tense atmosphere without jump scares.
