The Ember Guardian is a strategy roguelike about survival in a world where the last sparks of life barely flicker amidst the ruins. You take on the role of a Guardian, a wanderer carrying fire through the devastated lands. By day, you fortify your camp and gather resources, and at night, you encounter creatures drawn to the light of your fire. A light to fight for Daytime is the planning stage. Workers are assigned tasks: some gather materials, others hunt, or strengthen defenses. The camp gradually expands, adding new buildings, merchants, and observation posts. Every decision made affects resilience against the oncoming wave. As darkness falls, strategy is put to the test. Hordes attack from all sides, forcing constant repositioning and the use of modified weapons. Upgrades and abilities are unlocked at critical moments when the pressure reaches its limit.
