About the game
Tape 101: Liminal Descent is a psychological horror film about a man trapped in a space that defies the logic of perception. Beige corridors, tiled walkways, and empty offices repeat endlessly, but never match exactly, suggesting that the place itself is cobbled together from fading memories. The only tool for cognition is a small radio-controlled car, whose camera becomes eyes into a world where humans shouldn't exist. A map constructed from the stages of loss The labyrinth follows the Kübler-Ross model: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance are transformed into chapter-spaces. The architecture changes as the player progresses, reflecting the hero's emotional state: low ceilings, irregular scales, corridors that lead to copies of themselves. Each location is not just a level, but a manifestation of the psyche pretending to hold form. Opening the way with a car, the player explores rooms where sound, light, and emptiness become clues. With each advance, the certainty that reality remains stable fades. Space dissolves purpose, making one doubt the evidence found means anything. The machine moves under doors, through vents, toward mechanisms that confirm the existence of order, but this order becomes increasingly fragile. The only question remains: does understanding serve as salvation or merely hastens the inevitable dissolution into silence. Features of the game Remote sensing using radio-controlled equipment. Locations based on misperception of liminal spaces. Puzzles based on observing the structure of the world. Chapters reflecting the stages of loss through architecture.
