Stigmatum is a cinematic 2.5D beat 'em up set in a world where power has long since earned the right to determine what is considered truth and what is not. Until recently, Mateo was part of the elite, enjoying its privileges and living among those who make decisions for everyone else. Now his name is linked to a crime he didn't commit, and his former allies are ready to destroy him before even a fraction of the true story comes to light. A fugitive against the system Each new area awaits armed groups, corporate fighters, and hunters, for whom Mateo has long ceased to be human and has become a target. Light and heavy attacks allow for long combos, grapples help break opponents out of formation, and blocks, dodges, and parries become a matter of survival when enemies begin to overwhelm you with numbers. It's rare to stand still here: fights require movement, control of space, and a constant search for an advantage. Luxurious elite districts give way to cramped neighborhoods where street gangs rule, and beyond the city limits, harsh wastelands inhabited by machines, looters, and those society has long written off begin.
