Songs Of Silence – a fantasy strategy game from the German studio Chimera Entertainment, combining turn-based kingdom management with real-time battles. Early access opened in June 2024, and the full version was released on November 13 of that year. The game's music was composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, composer of Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics. Queen Lorelei and the Schism The story campaign consists of eight maps. You lead Queen Lorelei and her people to a new home, attempting to escape the clutches of the Schism and reconcile warring civilizations. In addition to the main storyline, the maps feature side quests, secrets, strange characters, and hidden treasures. There are three difficulty levels: from a relaxed story mode to challenging ones, where individual achievements and quests are unlocked. The world is drawn in a modernist style, which immediately distinguishes the game from most strategy games. Map movement, real-time combat On the global map, everything happens step-by-step: kingdom development, hero movement, and the capture of special locations. There are 22 such locations, and they provide resource bonuses, heal troops, or provide visibility through the fog of war. When armies clash, a real-time battle begins. The game features three factions, 13 hero classes and 37 variations, 113 unit types, over 38 artifacts, and over 150 skills that influence battles, army formations, and kingdom management. Skirmishes on one party In addition to the campaign, there are over a hundred random skirmishes on maps of three sizes. You can play them solo, cooperatively, or online against up to six players, and special draws change the rules of the game. Scenario maps with their own stories and challenges of varying difficulty are also available. It shares only the name with In Silence and Sign of Silence.
