Sin or Suffer is a dark, story-driven JRPG with elements of survival horror, where a prisoner finds himself trapped inside a medieval prison overrun by criminals, madness, and an inexplicable corruption. To escape, he must descend into the most dangerous depths of the complex and discover the true nature of "Sin" — a force capable of distorting reality itself and altering the destinies of those who encounter it. Prison holds more secrets than prisoners. Explore intricate rooms, discover hidden passages, find alternate routes, and gradually gain access to new areas of the vast prison. There are no random encounters: each enemy is handcrafted and poses a unique threat. Encounters require preparation, as enemies are powerful and supplies of healing and useful items are limited, so a hasty fight can prove costly. Collect items, learn about your character's quirks, and use your personality traits to unlock additional dialogue options, new items, and useful bonuses. In turn-based battles, you can deliberately cripple your opponents, depriving them of certain advantages and changing the course of the battle.
