About the game
Shutter Story is a psychological horror film about digital forensics and the boundary between reality and what's captured on film. Eli is convinced his family is haunted by ghosts, but the adults don't take it seriously. When he shows them strange photographs, their doubts disappear. Now you have to analyze each frame and decide what lies behind the distorted images and shadows of the past. Off-Screen Analysis Using SpectralAware™ 2.1, you scrutinize photos and videos, enhance noise, adjust exposure, and uncover hidden layers. Gradually, ordinary scenes become disturbing: silhouettes appear in reflections, and the background reveals unintended shapes. Each discovery is recorded and requires precise classification without the right to jump to conclusions. After the analysis sessions, you're transported to Eli's house in first-person scenes, where the consequences of your decisions begin to manifest physically. The space reacts to your conclusions, the atmosphere thickens, and the family history gradually comes together to form a coherent picture. A mistake can intensify the threat, while paying attention will bring you closer to understanding the true cause of what's happening. Features of the game Anomaly categorization system with multiple interpretation options. A branching narrative with different outcomes. An interface in the aesthetics of the early 2000s with an atmospheric presentation. Original script by Frostwood Interactive.
