About the game
Shifting To The Backrooms is a psychological horror film about a teenager named Will who tries to escape his difficult reality through the practice of shifting. Experiments with dreams open the door to strange, liminal spaces where conventional logic ceases to apply. What begins as an attempt to escape his problems gradually turns into a disturbing journey through worlds where dreams and reality begin to blend and lose their boundaries. Liminal worlds The journey takes you through a multitude of unusual environments, each one feeling like a forgotten place between dreams and reality. Empty buildings, strange rooms, and distorted corridors create an atmosphere of uneasy calm. These levels eschew classic backstage imagery and offer new visual ideas, constantly leaving you unsure of your exact location. Gradually, a calm exploration turns into a struggle to escape a nightmare. Some spaces behave illogically, changing structure and violating the familiar laws of geometry. To escape, you must understand the strange mechanisms of the surrounding world and avoid the dangers lurking in the depths of these distorted locations. Features of the game More than fifteen unique liminal spaces. Abstract levels with unusual architecture. Puzzles based on non-Euclidean geometry. Single player story campaign.
