You literally play as a stone lying in the middle of a quiet nature, watching time pass. A stone that is in no hurry The game's essence is simply being. A stone lies among the rocks, and the weather changes above it: the sun sets, rain falls, and the wind blows. The soundtrack is composed of similar background sounds and soft music, and can be left playing on a second monitor. Progress is slow and calm: development is deliberately not a race. Even the leaderboard is structured differently: it counts not speed or points, but how long the player can stay in the game. A Hundred Stones There are over a hundred stones for the collection, each unlocking and upgrading gradually. Collection One and Collection Two are sold separately, and there's a comprehensive set for the series, which includes the first game, the Rock Pass, and the second game. Riddles are hidden within the stones. If you look closely, you can find the answers, and this is the only place where the game requires anything other than patience. Sunset for two In the second part, you can challenge your friends online. There's no competitive aspect: you can lie silently next to each other and watch the sunset or chat. The website also features the first Rock Simulator, which is the same series from the same author, and the second part continues its theme of silence and contemplation.
