About the game
REST STOP is a first-person psychological horror game set in a deserted roadside rest stop in the Appalachian Mountains. Leah finds herself cut off from the world after her friend disappears and is forced to search for answers in a place where random travelers appear and disappear as suddenly as thick fog in a forest at night. The longer the search continues, the stronger the sense that something far more disturbing is afoot than just a missing person. Not everyone you meet wants to help. The small campsite gradually reveals its secrets through conversations, chance discoveries, and observations of the people around. Some travelers are willing to share useful information, others prefer to keep their distance, and some make you want to immediately run in the opposite direction. Every conversation can bring you closer to solving your friend's disappearance or lead to new questions that no one is eager to answer. A constant sense of unease accompanies the player throughout the story. The sound of wind through the trees, empty parking spaces, the occasional car lights, and the surrounding darkness create an atmosphere in which danger is felt even when nothing is happening. As the game progresses, it becomes increasingly difficult to understand who to trust and what exactly lies hidden in this forgotten place among the mountains. Features of the game First-person psychological horror. Searching for a missing friend in an abandoned parking lot. Conversations with unusual and suspicious characters. An atmosphere of constant tension and anxiety.
