About the game
Project Absentia is a retro first-person shooter built around vertical gunplay, flight, and active level movement. After escaping from the Orkan Corporation's laboratories, an angel named Abby sets out to rescue her friends who remain captive. Instead of slowly moving forward, the game constantly forces you to seek advantageous heights, glide, and attack enemies from unexpected angles. Advantage from above Mobility becomes the core of combat. Abby is able to quickly reposition herself, vault over obstacles, and exploit environmental features to her advantage. Enemies are encountered both on the ground and on elevated surfaces, so spatial awareness is just as crucial as accuracy and weapon selection. The arsenal includes dozens of unusual weapons. Some freeze enemies, others blast targets with missile salvos, or restore health by dealing damage. Each level encourages experimentation and allows players to find their own ways to progress, combining different weapons and the heroine's abilities. Features of the game Large levels inspired by real objects and locations. Fully voiced characters and story scenes. Unusual weapons with unique effects and mechanics. A wide range of accessibility and control settings.
