Nightbound is a turn-based tactical game about two people trying to survive Bloom's invasion. During the day, Lauren and June fortify the old house, cook, repair, and plan what they'll need for the following night. After sunset, the blooming plague goes hunting, and the shelter becomes a last line of defense that must be held until dawn. Survival depends on two Lauren is used to defending her home on her own, so June's arrival disrupts her routine. However, in combat, their differences become an advantage: working together allows them to cover each other, heal the wounded during a fight, and absorb blows intended for their partner. These techniques are revealed as their relationship deepens. Outside of battle, decisions also impact both characters. Choose groceries, cook dinner, make repairs, and keep the house in a condition that will survive the next attack.
