Memories of Mars – an open-world survival game from Limbic Entertainment, the creators of Might and Magic Heroes VII, in collaboration with publisher 505 Games. The game was in Early Access for a long time, with the full version released on March 12, 2020. The action takes place on Mars, in an abandoned mining colony. Waking up in the dark You wake up in a dark room, and the first thing you see is a screen warning of a solar plasma surge. The colony was once thriving, but now all that remains are empty settlements, mines, factories, and biodomes. The survivors here are not ordinary people, but clones. What exactly destroyed the colony becomes clear gradually, through the "Emergency Protocols" system quests, which are linked to the surrounding environment and reveal the story piece by piece. Sixteen square kilometers The map covers approximately 16 square kilometers and features over 120 points of interest. Security robots, drones, mechanical bugs, and worms roam the wasteland, as do large military vehicles. You'll have to fight other players, as resources are scarce. You can even team up with other clones if it's easier to survive together. Periodically, events occur on the map, forcing survivors to gather in one place and compete for a reward. Base and equipment The loot is used to craft weapons, armor, and housing parts. The base is built from scratch, and buildings have a maintenance system: you can't simply put up walls and forget about them. Woodworking skills are upgraded, and there are hundreds of items for decoration. Reviewers compared the game to Rust, transported to the Red Planet.
