About the game
MALPRAXIS is an interactive medical drama set aboard the Rusanov spacecraft after a series of unexplained incidents. You connect to the onboard computer system and experience the events firsthand, controlling a robotic medical system. Officially, it's a reconstruction; unofficially, it's an attempt to understand where exactly it all went wrong. An operating room with no room for error The virtual model transports the user to the medical unit, where, under the direction of Dr. Samuel Edwards, examinations, diagnoses, and surgeries must be performed. Resources are limited, data is not always complete, and patients' conditions can deteriorate rapidly. Every action is recorded by systems, leaving little time for doubt. Decisions are made taking into account medical ethics and the potential consequences for the crew. While you're technically following instructions, you can set your own priorities, which can change the course of events. The patients' lives depend on the accuracy of the algorithms, but the ultimate responsibility for the outcome rests with Edwards and his team. Features of the game Narration through on-board system emulation. Interactive procedures with limited resources. Moral dilemmas with delayed consequences. A space setting with a documentary presentation.
