LEGO Dimensions Combines action adventure with puzzles and real LEGO figures: characters are transported into the game by placing minifigures on a special Toy Pad. The platform connects via USB, and the figures, vehicles, and the platform itself are made from regular LEGO pieces and can be rebuilt. Platform instead of joystick The Toy Pad can hold up to seven characters, vehicles, and gadgets at a time. The pad plays a direct role in the game: three colored lights on it provide clues, and some puzzles can only be solved with its help. In Shift mode, characters navigate through colored vortices and avoid dangerous areas. In Scale mode, a minifigure is placed on a colored sector, causing the character to shrink or grow in size. Dozens of universes in one story The game features characters and locations from over thirty franchises. The main campaign consists of fourteen levels, led by Batman and Gandalf, joined by Wyldstyle from The LEGO Movie. The main villain is Lord Vortech, and the plot explains how the universes ended up in the same place in the first place. Each character has their own abilities, which are used to solve puzzles and find hidden areas. Free Worlds and Arenas In addition to story levels, each of the fourteen franchises has its own free-play world. There, any character can drive any car or use any gadget. For co-op play, there are four-player competitive arenas, a first for LEGO games. What's wrong with the PC? The game was never officially released for PC, so this is an unofficial port.
