About the game
King’s Well is a dark card roguelike with poker mechanics, set inside a giant industrial pit where gamblers and other undesirables are sent. Here, survival depends not on luck, but on how wisely you manage your cards, assemble combinations, and exploit the mechanisms around you. Each battle turns into a tense tactical duel, where any decision can lead to victory or another descent deeper into the earth. Poker combinations instead of the usual combat system Battles revolve around poker hands and interactions with mechanisms that enhance certain combinations. Paired cards can restore health, threes of a kind can simultaneously provide armor and damage, and straights can become powerful all-round attacks. At the same time, the game constantly forces you to think ahead: use strong cards immediately or save them for a more profitable combination and bonuses later. Because of this, even a normal battle feels like a series of risky decisions, where a mistake quickly leads to defeat. The journey through the well is also built around choice. You navigate a fixed map, encountering enemies, random events, merchants, and dangerous bosses. Between battles, you can upgrade your gear, find new relics, and experiment with builds, gradually transforming your character into a true killing machine. The rusty steampunk atmosphere only heightens the sense of hopelessness and the constant pressure from the world around you. Features of the game Card battles with poker combinations.
