Journey of life – a survival and settlement-building simulator from Hyperion Studio Limited. Early access opened in the spring of 2018, and the full version was released in February 2021. It all begins on an island, where the protagonist has nothing but his own hands. Penniless engineer The protagonist, an engineer, lost his entire fortune overnight. Seeking a fresh start, he leaves home and finds himself on an island. The first few hours are spent on the simplest tasks: gathering wood and stones, crafting basic tools, and finding food. The island is home to dangerous animals with a rather cunning artificial intelligence, and the weather fluctuates from sunny to rainy and stormy. The character is customizable, with male and female options available, and players can play from either first- or third-person perspectives. From workbench to smelter The game's core production chain is centered around production chains. Resources from the island are transported to stations, where they are crafted into tool and weapon components. There are hand-operated machines, such as a gin, spinning machine, weaving machine, and mill. Copper and metal ore can be mined, smelted, and cast into molds, while improved tools unlock new materials. Players also farm, hunt, cook, and build fortifications. Over time, electricity, transportation, and houses are added, and the player's skills improve with experience. Alone or with a tribe The game can be played solo, but there's also a multiplayer mode. Players form tribes, build settlements together, or wage war against each other. Dedicated servers and local network play are supported. It shares only the name with thatgamecompany's Journey.
