Orders must be taken, items must be searched on the shelves, the kiosk must be operated, inventory must be replenished promptly, and the line must be kept up to date. Before sales, customer IDs are checked, and inmate photos, names, and numbers are verified. Daily orders from the administration may prohibit service in certain blocks, limit the number of items, or impose other mandatory rules. After official work ends, the opportunity to engage in illegal trade opens. Drugs, sharpened objects, phones, adult magazines, and other prohibited items are available, purchased from suppliers and distributed to inmates.
