About the game
Job Fit For a Devil is an adventure game with crafting, transformations, and folklore, set in an alternate version of Russia during the reign of Peter the Great. While the emperor builds a new capital on the banks of the Neva and attempts to subjugate the powers of ancient sites, a petty devil named Shishok is tasked with dealing with the local evil spirits. The task proves far more difficult than expected, as the construction is opposed by the Vodyanoy, Leshy, Kikimora, and other lords of these lands. Strength rarely helps as well as cunning. Shishok can't boast the power of the elder devils, so most problems must be solved through conversation, deception, and finding unexpected solutions. To obtain a desired item, you must negotiate with one character, help another, or obtain an item that is located in a completely different place. Almost every task turns into a chain of amusing events, where success depends not on brute force, but on ingenuity and the ability to get out of trouble. As the hero progresses, he masters transformations and gains the ability to assume a variety of forms. Sometimes it's easier to squeeze through a narrow gap as a mouse, sometimes it's more convenient to assume the form of a pike, and in other situations, it's much more useful to be a little girl. The adventure is enhanced by card games, pranks, folk legends, and an introduction to an unusual version of St. Petersburg, where history is closely intertwined with the world of fairy tales and evil spirits. Features of the game An adventure based on Russian folklore and alternative history. Transformations into different creatures and characters. Missions based on cunning, negotiations and deception. The world of early St. Petersburg with a popular visual style.
