Jenny the Witch – a third-person action game from Catbird Soft, released on July 22, 2026. It's a mix of a shooter and a spectacular slasher, where the heroine shoots, hits enemies with a broom, and flies on it over the chasms beneath a futuristic New York. Missing workers It's July 2063. Four workers have gone missing in the Brooklyn Underground, a vast labyrinth of sewers and abandoned passageways beneath the city. Genevieve Marconi, a mercenary willing to take on dangerous assignments, is tasked with finding them. Down below, she's met not by humans, but by hordes of combat drones, and she has to literally hack her way to the missing workers. The broom as a weapon and transport Combat revolves around constantly changing distances. From afar, Jenny fires energy bolts and launches volleys of missiles, while up close she blasts away drones with the same broom she flies on. A separate charge meter stores power for powerful super moves that can turn a tough fight around. Between fights, the broom is used for movement: dashing through the air across chasms and platforming sections in underground halls. The developers promise that the platforming isn't too difficult and won't slow down the pace. Points and replays Each battle awards points, and the longer the combo, the faster your score increases. Earned money goes toward upgrades and new moves. The game is short, taking a few hours to complete, but after the finale, you can restart with your unlocked abilities and try a different difficulty level. The style is pixelated, but the world is 3D, and the setting is closer to cyberpunk than fairy tale. It shares only the name with Jenny Love You.
