Island Of Ash – a third-person action RPG in the vein of Dark Souls from Grim Page Studio. The action takes place on an island where civilization perished five hundred years ago. A Steam release is planned for 2027; playtesting is currently underway. Five Soul Fragments The hero awakens on the shore, remembering nothing. To regain his senses, he must find five soul fragments hidden in the island's abandoned strongholds. The game offers no clues: you decide where to go and in what order. The ending, of which there are several, depends on how many fragments you find and what decisions you make along the way. The campaign is designed to last over fifteen hours. Handcrafted Island There's no procedural generation here; each location is handcrafted. Tropical thickets and beaches alternate with snow-capped peaks, deserts, stone forests, a flooded temple, and catacombs. Hidden away from the main route are ruins, secret locations, and powerful enemies guarding valuable loot. Enemies are divided into melee fighters, mages, and support players, and each type requires a different approach. Fight without stamina There's no stamina bar, so you can attack without interruption: light and heavy attacks, active skills. Defense can be done by dodging or blocking with a shield and weapon. Parrying is risky; if it fails, it becomes a regular block, and some damage is absorbed. Weapons are one-handed and two-handed: swords, axes, hammers, and maces. Runes of the three circles enhance melee combat, and potions, oils, and poisons affect the instability bar, which provides bonuses to damage and defense.
