Modgunn attacks what's directly above the combined elements, so incorrect placement of elements can ruin a powerful combo. You can choose your playstyle using different classes. The Huntress combines archery with magical effects that inflict burning, chilling, and lifesteal, while the Shieldbearer transforms successful combos into additional defense. Totems and spells allow you to further alter the course of battle: you can summon a bird of prey, leave a magical ring on the field that increases combos' damage, or trigger a shockwave that disperses a swarm and reveals hidden weapons.
