About the game
GRINDWORM is a short, atmospheric horror story about survival in a collapsed mine, where the only chance of escape lies with an old mining machine. After a tunnel collapses, a miner finds himself deep underground, without communication or help. The only way out is to continue drilling stone and searching for a passage through the rubble, while in the darkness, the feeling gradually emerges that something alive is lurking underground. Road through the rock Progress is slow and arduous. The old machine hums and vibrates as it cuts through stone walls, while chunks of rock crumble around it. Sometimes the drill opens new tunnels, sometimes strange voids where the air grows cold and still. The creaking of metal and the cracking of stone are the only sounds in the complete darkness. As you move forward, the space begins to behave strangely. The walls tremble, the tunnels appear different than they should, and the sounds seem to come from deep within the mine itself. The feeling of loneliness gradually gives way to anxiety, as something completely unlike ordinary rock may be lurking beyond the machine's light.
