The protagonist is the Formless One: a creature that absorbs enemies and then summons their forms in battle. The Form Thief The core of the combat system is the tentacle arms. They shield the hero from blows, deflect enemy attacks, and also grab opponents to devour them whole. A defeated enemy transforms into a form that can be released in battle as a special attack. Some forms knock back and ensnare opponents, others fire projectiles, and still others summon helpers. Forms are also useful outside of combat: they can be used to find hidden passages. There's a wealth of equipment: over 30 weapons, 20 sets of armor, and 40 abilities. Earth from nails and vases The world of GRIME has always had a strange feel, and the second game continues that theme. Locations are assembled from painted nails and enormous vases, and the entire universe is steeped in an obsession with art, with the protagonist himself a bit of an art imitator. Each region has its own people with its own culture and characters to interact with. The environment plays a role in combat: both you and your opponents, both near and far, utilize it. What has changed since the first GRIME? The first game was released in 2021 by Akupara Games. The hero was a Vessel with a black hole for a head, and absorption functioned as a parry and restored health. In the second game, absorption became the basis for an entire system of forms that can be used to attack and explore the world, and lands with their own civilizations appeared.
