Gravity Rush 2 – a gravity-based action game from Japan Studio, directed by Keiichiro Toyama, creator of Silent Hill. Released in January 2017 exclusively for PlayStation 4, the game continues the story of Kat, a girl who can alter the direction of gravity and literally fall in any direction. New Cities of Cat It all begins in the poor village of Banga, where Kat finds herself after the events of the first game. Her journey then takes her to the floating city of Jirga Para Lao, which she must liberate, and then back to Hekseville from the first game and further, all the way to the icy city of Eto at the top of the World Pillar. The world has grown significantly: the map is approximately two and a half times larger than in the original, and there are three times as many quests. The city is alive, you can chat with the inhabitants, and the surroundings are sometimes destructible. Sometimes, Crow, a familiar face from the first game, helps in battle, now fighting alongside her. Light and heavy style The main innovation in the combat system is related to gravity styles. In addition to the standard one, Kat now has two new ones. Lunar makes her light: she jumps higher and moves faster. Jupiterian, on the other hand, makes her heavier, and her attacks become noticeably more powerful. You can switch between styles during combat, tailoring your approach to different opponents. Flying around the city remains the core of the game, and the camera deftly follows Kat wherever she goes. Crow and ratings In March 2017, the free expansion "Crow's Choice" was released, allowing players to play as Crow and rescue the lost children from the Ark. The game's online features were disabled in July 2018. Critical reception for the sequel was strong, with a Metacritic score of 80, a 9/10 from GameSpot, and a 9,5 from Destructoid.
