Goodbye My King – a first-person stealth horror game from the small studio CivilSavages, released in early access in June 2017. The concept is clearly inspired by Hello Neighbor, only instead of a neighbor's house, there's an entire castle. An impostor on the throne The premise is simple. Your castle has been seized by a brazen impostor, and the only way to reclaim it is through cunning. Openly confronting the invader is futile, so you must sneak through the corridors and halls, trying not to make any noise. A mistake or being spotted, and the hero dies, forcing you to start over. To reach your goal, you must complete a series of quests and challenges scattered throughout the castle. A castle instead of a house The comparison with Hello Neighbor is obvious: there the player explores the neighbor's house, avoids his traps and looks for what he hides in the basement. Goodbye My King The scale is larger. The castle is full of mysteries and dark secrets, and you have to explore it room by room, memorizing the dangers and the places best avoided. The atmosphere is gloomy, and the tension is heightened by the fact that an enemy could appear at any moment. Version 0.5 The game remains in Early Access: the latest known build is 0.5, and the project later disappeared from official stores. Therefore, it's more of an unfinished experiment than a full-fledged game, and don't expect a lengthy campaign: it takes several hours to complete.
