Glyde The Dragon – a 3D action platformer about a dragon from the indie studio Valefor Games. The full Steam release date is still unknown; a free demo was released in the summer of 2024. The story centers on Glyde and his companion Wing, who are searching for the source of the corruption that has taken over their world. Regions and Dragon Factions The journey takes you through vastly different lands: verdant forests, the depths of the ocean, deserts, ancient ruins and caves, icy spires, storm-tossed mountains, fiery lands, and floating islands. Each region is home to its own faction of elemental dragons, each with their own goals, beliefs, leaders, and challenges. Along the way, Glyde heals the land of corruption, collects crystals, and aids the locals. For completed missions, the dragons provide information or resources, and crystals and armor pieces are hidden in secluded places. Eight Elemental Forms The combat system is based on the elements. Glyde has eight elemental forms and over 60 abilities, unlocked as you progress. Moves can be mixed and matched in combat to create custom combos. Enemies range from small to medium-sized, and include armies of the undead and other corrupted creatures. The developers emphasize that mindless button mashing won't work: victory lies in choosing the right moment and choosing the right moves for the enemy. Music and voices Each region and key scene has its own music, composed specifically for the game, and all characters are voiced. The graphics are stylized and vibrant, and the menu offers numerous quality and performance settings, allowing the game to be optimized for even the most modest computers.
